Born and raised on a ranch in Aspen, Colorado, surrounded by horses, goats, cows, and a healthy dose of chaos, I’ve never exactly been someone who fits neatly into a box.
My journey into the beauty industry wasn’t a straight line. I discovered cosmetology during a time when I was still figuring out who I was, and somewhere between the creativity, connection, and transformation, I found a piece of myself I didn’t even realize was missing. Ironically, I went to school for makeup and fell head over heels in love with hair.
Behind the chair, I specialize in Invisible Bead Extensions, but I’ve never been particularly good at choosing just one thing. I’ve been told I need a 10-piece marching band to stay entertained, and my approach to hair is no different. From lived-in blondes and dimensional color to vivids, alternative cuts, extensions, and bridal beauty, I love a little bit of everything.
My absolute favorite thing? A transformation. There’s something incredibly special about helping someone look in the mirror and feel more like themselves than ever before.
In 2023, I founded Alchemy & Aura with a dream of creating something different. A space where individuality is celebrated, collaboration comes before competition, and independent artists never have to feel alone. What began as a small salon has grown into a beauty and wellness collective bringing together hair, tattooing, skincare, massage, and wellness under one roof.
In 2026, we began our next chapter in a historic Denver salon home, carrying decades of beauty industry history into a new generation of artistry and community.
None of this has been easy, and I certainly haven’t figured it all out. But whether I’m creating someone’s dream hair or building a community of artists, my goal has always been the same: to help people feel seen, supported, and unapologetically themselves.
Because I know firsthand how much finding a place where you belong can change your life. And if I can make Alchemy & Aura that place for even one person, every crazy leap of faith has been worth it.

Meet Oceanna, a Colorado native and stylist at Alchemy & Aura Salon. With over 13 years in the industry and a strong Aveda background, she’s all about authenticity and natural beauty. From sun-kissed blondes to effortless balayage and stunning transformation colors, Oceanna tailors every look to highlight her clients’ best features and leave them feeling radiant.
When she’s not behind the chair, you’ll find her watching true crime shows, coloring, and spending quality time with her three kids. She also thrives on building genuine connections, aiming to make every client feel at ease from the moment they step into the salon.

Meet Victoria, an innovative stylist at Alchemy & Aura Salon with a passion for all things hair. A true natural in creating effortless, blended looks, she specializes in everything from lived in dimension, to extensions, to transformative color. She has also been recognized and published by Redken Professional. Victoria focuses on bringing out her clients’ dream hair and keeping in mind desired maintenance levels all while making them feel at ease throughout the entire experience.
Outside the salon, she enjoys unwinding with her kindle, exploring all things outdoors, and spending time with her Golden Retriever - who you may see at the salon - Luna!

With 10 years behind the chair, Maddy brings the kind of versatility we LOVE around here. She started her career at the Aveda Institute Minneapolis before trading the Twin Cities for Denver four years ago.
Her chair is a place for a little bit of everything. Lived-in blondes, dimensional color, vivids, major color corrections—and cuts ranging from long layers and curtain bangs all the way to clipper cuts and mullets. Her approach is never one-size-fits-all; every look is personalized to the person wearing it.
For Maddy, hair is about so much more than the finished look. Her favorite part of this industry is helping people express who they are and feel a little more at home in their own skin. And with every day and every client bringing something different, she’s constantly finding new reasons to stay inspired by her craft.
When she isn’t creating behind the chair, you can find her hiking or paddle boarding, making and collecting tiny things, cuddling her cat Olive, watching Survivor or Drag Race, and generally seeking out anything that’ll make her laugh.

Dan began his career in 2007 at Toni & Guy, where he trained before going on to work as both a cutting specialist and educator. He’s spent his entire career here in the Denver area, developing an approach to haircutting that’s technical, intentional, and completely tailored to the person in his chair.
While shorter shapes are his specialty, his work spans everything from precision and razor cutting to longer styles and natural textures. He also has a passion for education—because a great haircut shouldn’t only look good when you leave the salon. Understanding how to actually work with your hair at home matters, too.
Outside the salon, Dan is probably reading, running, getting outside, watching a movie, or DJing.
jeremiah salas
Tattoo Artist

With 15 years of experience in the tattoo industry, Jeremiah is a versatile artist with a passion for transforming ideas into wearable art. His extensive portfolio showcases his ability to work across a wide range of styles, including fine line, black and grey, cover-ups, intricate detail work, and large-scale custom pieces.
For Jeremiah, tattooing is about more than just the finished piece. He believes every tattoo should be as unique as the person wearing it. He takes pride in creating a personalized, collaborative experience, taking the time to understand each client’s vision and bring it to life with precision, creativity, and intention.
His dedication to his craft goes beyond the tattoo chair. From the initial consultation to the healing process and beyond, Jeremiah is committed to making every client feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.
When he’s not in the studio creating art, you’ll likely find him spending quality time with his family or getting a workout in at the gym.
Jeremiah brings an incredible combination of artistry, technical skill, and genuine connection to Alchemy & Aura, and we’re so excited to have him as part of our collective.
rae freedman

Meet Rae, our resident skincare science nerd!
Rae became a Licensed Aesthetician in 2025 after graduating from the School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics here in Denver, but her background goes far beyond the treatment room. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology and is a Board-Certified Surgical Neurophysiologist (CNIM).
Before entering aesthetics, Rae worked in surgical neurophysiology—basically, she was the little red nose in the game Operation—and in cancer research and drug development at the University of Colorado Denver.
Now, she combines her background in science and medicine with her love of skincare to create thoughtful, individualized treatments based on the biology behind your skin. She also has a special interest in connective tissue disorders, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and loves working with clients whose skin may need a more customized approach.
Outside of the treatment room, Rae is an animal lover, plant collector, community volunteer, and dog mom to Lola, Josie, and Zeke.

With a background as a Physician Assistant in primary care, mental health, and addiction medicine, Sammie has seen firsthand how important it is to look beyond symptoms and focus on the bigger picture of health.
Her approach is all about personalized wellness. From GLP-1 weight management and peptide therapies to hormone balancing, NAD+ and sustainable lifestyle changes, she helps clients create individualized plans that support their unique goals.

Luna is Victoria’s 6-year-old golden retriever and emotional support queen. She loves showing off her favorite toys and offering calming company while you’re in the chair. You’ll usually find her lounging on the couch (definitely not her bed), keeping watch out the window for her next client. Bonus: her sun-kissed golden coat has been the inspo for more than a few blonding appointments!
